“In the book of Joshua, the Israelites were defeated after they sinned against God. Joshua falls before God, at a loss for what to do next. God reveals the truth to Joshua, commanding him to get up and do what needs to be done. From this story, we learn several key truths about how God handles sin:
1. Sin Angers God. The truth is that, if God never got angry, He wouldn’t be just or righteous. Certain things upset God, and it’s imperative for us to know and avoid those things out of worshipful obedience to Him. This also teaches us it’s all right for us to get angry, in a righteous way, as well.
