Life happens. Financial trouble, relationship strain, a wayward son or daughter, poor health- those trials don’t seem to ever go away. However David, a man of God, has a long history of going through such struggles. David leaves behind a legacy of how we should respond to God when we’re smack dab in the middle of life.
Whose cross are you carrying? Who are you living for, other than yourself? You must have faith that all God promised will manifest in every area of your life. When you look away from your trials and trouble, you’ll be able to see the triumph that is at play everyday thanks to a good Father. The key is to trust in His Word that He is faithful and just, and will bless your life.
Have you ever run from God? As His child, there’s nothing you can do to separate yourself from His love. However, you can make your life extremely difficult when you choose your way over His. Paul’s tumultuous boat ride teaches us that one way God uses His servants to show His strength is by carrying them through a storm. Because once they make it through, God gets the glory and everyone else sees how when God is for His child, no one can stop His child.
One way to have a closer relationship with God is to do what Jesus did while He was on Earth. Jesus chose to take time to pray. In fact, the Bible says it was “His custom” to seek time with His Father. Jesus had His priorities in order. Now, it’s our turn! The level of Word you sit under determines the level of Word you live under. It’s not enough to get it right in our hearts, but also, to get it right in our heads.

They are the choices that keep you up at night, that weigh on your shoulders, and cause you to stress… Should you buy a house? Can you afford to start a family? What if you lose your job? WHO do you listen to when you’re worried? Who tells you NOT to be afraid?
There’s no detail too small for God. In fact, God only cares about small things because everything is small compared to Him. Is your faith strong enough to continue walking with Jesus in the midst of life’s storms? There’s no problem too big or small for God to handle. Bring your problems to Jesus and watch how your life begins to transform before your eyes.
