In Exodus 15, only 72 hours after the Israelites experienced one of the greatest miracles in human history…they were complaining. God had just delivered them out of the hand of the Egyptians, parted the Red Sea, and closed it again. Three days later, and the Israelites were groaning because they had no water to drink.
This is often our response to hardship: we forget, so quickly, all the faithfulness, all the miracles, all the provision God has given us before. Our minds get so fixated on our present challenges that we forget who God is! Moses, however, didn’t allow his perspective to be warped by the circumstances. He took the people’s complaints to God, in faith that He would answer.
