Do You Trust Me

Are you trustworthy? The answer to this question may vary, especially depending on who you ask! As believers, Christ has called us to be consistent and trustworthy. But how can we go about being trusted—what does it really mean to be trustworthy? Gaining trust is a long process, which takes both intentionality and time!

From taking a look at Matthew 5:37 (NIV), where Jesus is forbidding oaths, we can get a good starting point on what Jesus thinks of believers keeping our word: “All you need to say is simply ‘Yes or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” This is a strong stance! It’s clear that Jesus wants us to be clear, honest, and trustworthy to others!
