What If God Was One of Us?

God’s Love is Amazing!

What If God Was One of Us?

Have you ever wondered why we have this inner desire for a connection to something greater than ourselves? There’s more to that longing than you might think.

Humans are in a special class because we not only hunger for the things in this world, we also hunger for things beyond this world! And, since God put that yearning in us, it’s no surprise that He did something amazing to fulfill it; He sent His Son, Jesus to this earth to provide the way to an eternal connection with the Father. The famed author C.S. Lewis, said, “The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God.”

Jesus literally became one of us, and if you read the Gospels, His humanity showed in the way He got tired, was hungry and wept. Yet He also walked in His deity. In John 8:58 (NKJV) we read, “Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.’” The religious people of His day accused Him of blasphemy and tried to stone Him. But, Jesus was smart; “… but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by (John 8:59, NKJV).”

We can rejoice knowing that Jesus was not just a prophet or a good man as some other religions believe, but scripture confirms that He was 100% God and 100% man. And if you trust Him, you have a 100% likelihood of becoming all He created you to be.

So, the question comes back to us. Are you hungry for something more? Embracing Jesus makes all the difference for us; not only satisfying our hunger for God, but also setting us free in every area of our lives. God loved us so much, that He wasn’t satisfied with loving us from afar. He became “One of Us” So we could become one with Him!

Are you one with the Father? If not, all you have to do today is open your heart and accept His amazing love!

Live Big!
