The Small Things

The Small Things

Is your faith strong enough to continue walking with Jesus in the midst of life’s storms?

Last week, we spent time in Mark 5, where Jesus encountered the ill daughter of Jairus, a synagogue leader, and a woman who had a menstrual cycle for 12 years. Both were desperately in need of a supernatural miracle that only Jesus could perform. Most importantly, they believed in the power of the healing touch and didn’t let anyone or anything stop them from reaching Jesus.

This week, we witnessed Jesus actually raising Jairus’ daughter from the dead. However, it didn’t exactly go as Jarius planned. In fact, Jairus was discouraged because Jesus stopped to heal the bleeding woman along the way and his daughter succumbed to her illness. But Jesus was faithful and resurrected the young girl when He finally arrived at her bedside.

Oftentimes, we get upset or impatient because God doesn’t answer our prayers right away or move on our timetable. We think He has forgotten about us, so we decide to stop walking with Jesus and take matters into our own hands. But like Jairus, we must keep the faith, in spite of the storm, to yield the outcome we’ve been praying for.

Perhaps you’ve prayed and fasted but things continue to go downhill? I want you to be encouraged because God makes no mistakes and will move in your life in His perfect timing. While we see the temporary, God sees the long-term and He has something greater than we could even ask or imagine in store for each of us.

If you’re ready to experience your breakthrough, I invite you to get a copy of my teaching titled, “The Small Things.” Through this message, you will learn how to strengthen your faith in the midst of the storm, silence the voice of critics and address your issues directly so God can move in your life.

There’s no problem too big or small for God to handle. Bring your problems to Jesus and watch how your life begins to transform before your eyes.

Living In Grace and Peace,

Dr. Derek Grier
