In 1 Kings 18, we find the amazing story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal going head to head in making sacrifices to their respective gods. Elijah asks God’s people to choose whether they will be loyal to God or to Baal…unfortunately, before the sacrifices are made, no one in the crowd says a word.
Who we really are - our identity - is wrapped up in Jesus Christ. The more we study and learn what the Bible says, the more we can become like Jesus. This transformation will take us from being common, messed up people and turn us into a unique, functioning, corporate and spiritual temple that will draw others to come in.
We're going to look into the story of Elijah and his battle against the prophets of Baal. I want to challenge you as we study today to identify the areas where you remain undecided. And today I want to help you walk through making a solid decision for God.

Christianity means coming together as a team to strengthen one another to change the world through Jesus Christ. It includes pulling people in from the highways and byways of life. We may stick our heads out by daring to come to church, get hurt, and possibly get disappointed, but it is the only way for us to come together and live lives strong enough to bring glory and honor to Jesus’ name.
You ever remember while driving or maybe walking that you came to a fork on the road, and at that moment you are faced with the decision to go one way or perhaps the other. Often in our spiritual walk we reach forks in the road, and during this time we are faced with a choice to follow God or do things our way. As a disciple in Jesus though, there really only one choice. The Lord wants us to fully submit to Him so He can lead us in a path toward a purpose filled life.
