Peace Amidst the Storm

God Is In Control

When you face the inevitable adversity in your life, how do you handle it? We often think we know what is best for us. Oftentimes, we pray to God to help us get out of the situation, and we think, once we are out, we will have true peace and worship Him. This shouldn’t be our mindset. We should pray to Him for peace amidst our storm, and never cease to worship Him—we can have peace in the midst of our worst circumstances when we lean on Jesus!

When we pass, we leave our inheritance for our children or kin—Jesus did the same! In John 14:27, Jesus says the following: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Not only did Jesus leave us His peace, but He commanded us to not be afraid or troubled!

It doesn’t matter what we are going through, we can still worship Him and have peace in the midst of it. Moses had the Red Sea in front of Him, and an angry Egyptian army behind him, yet, Moses told his people that the Lord would fight for them, they only need to be still (Exodus 14:14 NKJV). Peter and Paul were imprisoned, but they continued to lean on God in prayer and worship, and they had peace!

In conclusion, we can’t let our circumstances make us lose sight of who we are in Christ and the power of God. Don’t let your adversity in life stop you from worshipping and make you afraid. Continue to lean on God for peace, u worship Him even if you are struggling, and He will make Himself known to you—you will be at peace no matter what is going on! What you’re going through doesn’t scare Him, and it shouldn’t scare you!

Live Big!
