Do you ever feel overextended in what God has called you to do? It might be in your family, in your work, or in your calling, wherever it originates from, you may feel overextended in our responsibilities. When we feel stretched beyond our limits and capabilities we cannot and will not function effectively. When this happens, we need to remember that God is with us in whatever He has called us to do.
First, we need to recognize a fact that is oftentimes overlooked: that even if we are in the will of God, we are still likely to face opposition, obstacles, and adversity. When we recognize this as an inescapable reality, we can be better positioned and poised to deal with these situations.
Next, we must realize that if we are truly walking in the will of God, He will not leave our sides. This means that although we will face opposition, God will help us overcome. Although we face uncertainty God will give us peace. We can’t think even for a second God called us to this place and then left us. He is always with us and when we are obedient to His plan, He will make a way for us!
In conclusion, don’t think you are alone in feeling overextended. Remember that God is with you in what He has called you to do. No matter what may be in your path, recognize that with the Lord, you have everything you need and more to overcome. Oftentimes, we feel overextended because we aren’t relying on God’s plan and provision. Strive to look to Him in faith!
