Letting Go

Are you letting your past affect your future?

Are you letting your past affect your future? Oftentimes, we let the adversities, obstacles, and pain from our past shape our future. We live in both fear and uncertainty, and don’t trust that the plans God has for us will really come to fruition. We need to learn to let go of our past to embrace God’s future for us—strive to live out the plans He has written for your life!

The first step to this equation is handling our past pains. We need to heal the past wounds so we can move forward. Don’t ignore them—face them head-on and deal with them so you can move into the future God has planned out for you. If you aren’t healed from your past, you won’t be able to move forward effectively!

Once we handle our past pains, we must focus on God’s future for us. Strive to follow His guidance at every turn in your life—obey His commands, He’s leading you somewhere great! We can’t live out the future He has for us unless we have Him. We can’t do it alone—we need God’s provision, guidance, and peace!

In conclusion, many people—even Christians—are so negatively affected by their past, they are unable to move forward. As Christians, we have everything we need to heal, let go, and focus on the future God planned out for each and every one of us. If we aren’t healed and focused on our future, we won’t be able to live out the plans He has for us. Take time to pray and ask God for the strength to live out His plans for your life—pray for the strength to serve Him effectively!
