When you’ve reached the end of your rope, do you hang on for dear life or let go and grab on to God’s lifeline?
Philippians 4:6-7 says:
6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
So many of us try to journey through this life on our own, constantly worrying about people or things we can’t control instead of submitting our problems to God through prayer so He can give us peace. We seek worldly solutions to our problems, only to end up with dysfunctional marriages, financial troubles, medical complications and a host of other issues.
But when we finally reach the end of our rope and say “I can’t,” God says “I can!” At that moment when we humble ourselves, God is able to step in and do what He wants in our lives.
Just like Paul, we must learn to trust in God through the pain and hardships. Paul was beaten by the Jews 5 times, fatigued by endless toiling, plagued by hunger and thirst and endured many sleepless nights. But God still exalted Paul once he surrendered. Imagine what He can do in our lives if we welcome Him into our hearts?
If you’re ready to let go of the baggage and be renewed, I invite you to get a copy of my teaching called “Let It Go.” In the message, I provide a detailed account of what it’s going to take to humble yourself and cast all your cares on God so He can exalt you in due season. I’ll also send you a copy of “Steps to Dealing with Pressure” that will show you how to remain calm and at peace in the midst of trials and tribulations.
It’s time to let go and let God take you to the place where He wants you to be!
God bless you!
Living in Grace and Peace,
Dr. Grier
