When is the best time to worship the Lord? Is it when He blesses us and provides in a way only He can? Or, should we praise His name despite what we are going through? The truth is, no matter what is happening externally in our lives, God is and will always be in complete control. And, more importantly, He is always worthy of our praise.
Just as Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped amidst their imprisonment, we should strive to pray and worship when we are faced with adversity. No matter what is going on in our lives, it is temporary, and God has a plan. When we not only trust in His plan but praise Him, miraculous things happen.
The reality is, it shouldn’t matter what we are going through, have gone through, or will go through. God is worthy! No matter how we feel, we should commit to lifting up His holy name in worship. When we do this out of love for Him and not expectation, our external circumstances – or at least how we perceive them – will change.
In conclusion, adopt a mindset of total surrender and worship to the Lord. Recognize that He is worthy, no matter your current situation. Put Him first in your life even in the face of adversity and He will protect, provide, and guide you into the future He has planned for you.
