We are called to put God first in every aspect of our life. When problems arise or when uncertainty is high, it should not change what should be our biggest priority in life—our relationship with God. When we’re truly putting God first in our lives, our problems will come second, and He will deliver us from whatever we may be experiencing—but we must stay close to Him and follow His guidance!
Many people can put God first in their lives until they start to experience problems. This could be anything ranging from finances, to health issues, to struggles in relationships. Whatever we may be experiencing, no matter how bad it gets, we should still strive to put God first! When we put God above our problems! Malachi 3:11 (NKJV) states it perfectly. It says “‘Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruit of your ground; nor will the vine in the field prove fruitless to you,’ says the LORD of armies.”
But we shouldn’t just be going to God so he can clear up our problems and struggles. We should also be intentional to listen to His guidance for our lives. God has big plans for each of us, and oftentimes, these plans require big steps of faith. When we’re putting God first and listening to His guidance, He will make His plan clear. It may not always make sense to us, but we must take steps of faith to fulfill whatever He has in store for us!
In conclusion, we need to put God first in our lives, no matter what! Our problems, struggles, and issues all need to come second to our King! When we put God first, we’re opening the door for Him to help with our problems, and we’re inviting the plan that He has for each and every one of us. When we aren’t intentional about making God the priority of our lives, we can’t live up to the plans that He has in store! The only question that remains is, what’s the #1 priority in your life?
