Stewardship is a common topic of biblical discussion. Whether or not we are effective with what God entrusts us with will determine a lot – about ourselves, our futures, and even His blessings. If we are intentional in following His guidance in diligence, He will be faithful to bless and entrust us with more.
First, we need to be careful we don’t fall into the wrong way of doing things. Just as the man in the parable of the talents who hid his singular talent was punished, we too can’t let our blessings go to waste. Use what God has given you however God is prompting you to use it – don’t get lazy, complacent, or timid!
Now that we know what not to do, we can focus on what’s right. We need to lean into the guidance of God and strive to follow Him. He has and will continue to give us all we need to be effective stewards of whatever He may have blessed us with. It is up to us to seek out this guidance and strive to obey it at every turn!
In closing, we need to be good stewards. If we aren’t God will take our blessings and give them to those of His children who are. He wants to bless and entrust us with more, but first, we need to be faithful with what He has given us. Whether He has given you a lot or a little, strive to be the best steward of it as you can – for His kingdom.
