A Display of God’s Grace

Mount Crumpit Part 2A

We live in the world, but Christ tells us we shouldn’t be of the world. When we come to know God’s love, it should make us act different—we should stand out from the rest of the corrupted world. How does one accomplish this? By being a display of the grace and love that God has shown to us! We need to pursue peace with others and be a testament to Christ’s awesome love!

Society has conditioned us to believe that we are the way we are because of past problems, issues, and situations that positively or negatively affected our being. This doesn’t have to be the case! The truth of God’s Word can set you free! You don’t have to be the way you are, you can live according to God’s standards, and respond the way God wishes you to respond! You are the captain of your ship—you alone are responsible for your emotions!

Once you get your emotions in check, you can start to display God’s love to those around you. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV), “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Through how we act, others can see the Lord through us! However, in Romans 12:18 (NKJV), it also says, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” This scripture makes it clear sometimes our efforts and intentions of peace will be turned away—don’t let this stop you from putting forth effort into peace with others!

No matter what the circumstance or issue is, you must remain in control of your emotions. God has called for us to stand out from the rest of the cruel world. Do this by seeking peace with great effort, intentionality, and investment. Stand out from those around you—be a display of God’s amazing love!

Live Big!
