God’s Plan, Your Obedience

When God speaks into your life, whether it be a promise, a command, or a request, what action do you take? Isaiah 43:2 (NIV) states, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;  the flames will not set you ablaze.” This verse makes it very clear that we will face adversities and trials, but God will not let them overtake us. Why then are we still slow to obey the Lord?

Defeating Giants

How do you respond when face to face with a giant? Your giant may not be a behemoth of a Philistine man like it was for David, yet we all are bound to face giants of one kind or another in our lifetime. They come in the form of pain, adversity, and opposition. But, when we approach these situational giants with the help of our Lord and the right attitudes, we can have confidence that they will topple.

Our Identity in Christ

How do you identify? Some identify first with their political party, others with the color of the skin, and still, others identify with their nationality and ethnicity. Does this bring the Lord who died on the cross for our sins honor? Instead of identifying with earthly beliefs, divisions, and differences, we should identify as children of the one, true, living God!
