In the midst of every struggle there is a subtle lie that works to get into our thinking. It seeks to undermine our trust in God and ultimately to keep us stuck and trapped in our situation. I want to expose that lie and see you get back on track and living God’s best in your life.

If you’ve ever been through hard times, it can feel as if you are all alone. It can feel as if God has forgotten you. Or even worse, you can begin to feel like God has put you in that situation to be punished.

If we’re ever going to experience the good God has for us, we’ve got to combat these lies with truth from the Word of God.  How can we confront these lies?

It may sound illogical, but sometimes the solution to our situation doesn’t come from getting the right answers but from asking the right questions. The Apostle Paul asked six questions in Romans 8 when he faced struggles, trials, and difficulties. These six questions saw him through the greatest challenges in his life and they’ll get you through as well.

What shall we say to these troubles? If God is for us, who can effectively be against us? How will He not also graciously give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? Who is to condemn you? What shall separate us from the love of God?

The answer to each of these questions takes us deeper and deeper in our understanding of God’s Love. When confronted by trials, Paul didn’t feel sorry for himself. He reminded himself how much God loved him. His confidence in God’s goodness and unending love gave him the hope he needed to make it through every difficulty.

No matter what you are facing today, you can confront every challenge and trial with absolute confidence. My hope for you is that you won’t ever let tough times make you doubt God’s love for you. Instead, your complete conviction of God’s amazing and unmatched love will let you see through the lies of the devil.  Crisis may be part of our journey, but we are defined as sons and daughters of an almighty God who loves us fiercely and will never leave us or abandon us.  Remember, absolutely nothing can get between you and God’s love. No circumstance; no shame; no guilt. It’s time we embrace God’s love for us and receive His best!

You may be going through a tough situation right now. I want to encourage you to hold fast and focus on God’s love. In my latest teaching series, I’ve put together three powerful messages singly devoted to increasing our confidence and awareness of God’s love for us. Instead of letting life get the best of you, you’ll be energized and prepared to confidently take on the world and make your mark!

God bless you!
