Entertaining Strangers

Entertaining Strangers

Are you in need of a breakthrough?

In your life, there’s going to be pain and discomfort. In your life, there is going to be inconvenience, but Jesus didn’t take the cross for Himself. He didn’t need a Redeemer. We did! And when bad things come to pass, there is One who can deliver us, as He did from our sins!

Whose cross are you carrying? Who are you living for, other than yourself?

You must have faith that all God promised will manifest in every area of your life. When you look away from your trials and trouble, you’ll be able to see the triumph that is at play everyday thanks to a good Father. The key is to trust in His Word that He is faithful and just, and will bless your life.

In Genesis 18, we can read about a man named Abraham who encountered three strangers during his travels. Back then, when one ran into strangers, there was a covenant to make them friends before they became enemies. Abraham, however, went above and beyond the call of duty. It was probably a stressful time for Abraham when the men came across his path. Yet, the Bible says he ran to them.

Why did Abraham, a 99-year-old man at the time, run to three strangers?

Abraham was overjoyed by people. His heart considered the needs of others before himself. He ran to the three men because he already respected and loved them. He saw them as important and deserving of kindness. Abraham cultivated kindness.

Two of the men were angels. The third man was Jesus Christ’s reincarnated form. But Abraham didn’t know that! And it didn’t make a difference to him, because people mattered, not what people could do for him.

God saw Abraham’s tender heart towards His creation and He blessed Abraham. You see, sometimes God’s greatest gifts are in people. Sometimes God’s greatest plans for our lives come to full through others. Abraham received God’s blessing for a multitude of descendants at an old age. Even though Sarah held disbelief in her heart, God makes all things possible. He is the One who can do anything.

Be encouraged, today, knowing that no matter what you’re facing or what the day may bring, God is in control and is always ready to bless you.

Remember, we are here for others. Kindness goes a long way, and I hope you know how much it can change your life. When you’re kind, you’re putting others above yourself and that does not go unnoticed. Live and show love to others, today!

Live Big!
